The Work Experience Certificate

The Work Experience Certificate is a record of a student’s experience of working on an employer’s premises in the role of an employee.Trident work experience is generally for two weeks, although some students have longer placements.

This  downloadable version  of the certificate is available for use by Schools who have engaged Trident from Edexcel to support their student placements.

It is recommended that the certificate is only issued where the student has:

  • performed a job of work on an employer’s premises based upon an agreed job description
  • received no pay for the work
  • obtained a satisfactory report from the employer at the end of the placement
  • thought about strengths and weaknesses and developed a personal action plan
  • recorded the skills they have learned
Conditions of use
  • These certificates must be printed in colour on 180gsm White Bond paper
  • The certificate must be printed not photocopied
  • Schools are asked to report to Trident from Edexcel on a quarterly basis, on the number of certificates issued
Issuing Certificates (a step by step guide)
  1. Click on the link to the Certificate
  2. Open / Save the Certificate (You will need to type the login / password we sent to you school/college. If you do not have it yet, please contact us.)
  3. Fill in the boxes marked with a tick
  4. Print the document
  5. Once printed, check that everything is correct and place your signature in the space provided.
Note: Please notice that in the box "On behalf of the school / college", the space provided to type the name is located at the very bottom of that box.
