Top Tips

Use the Top Tips to make sure you are ready for the countdown to your placement:

  • Make sure you know how to get to the placement, how long it takes….you don’t want to be late on the first day.
  • Attend an interview (if possible)
  • Read your health and safety booklet before you go to your placement
  • Ask your teacher for an activity workbook
  • Attend everyday and arrive on time
  • Be enthusiastic and don’t be afraid to ask questions – you’re there to learn
  • Wear appropriate clothing for your placement
  • If you can’t sort out a problem at work, contact your teacher
  • Remember to fill in your work experience record book
  • Send a thank you letter to the placement afterwards
